The therapy of resistance water paddling is carried out in a specific water basin equipped with a countercurrent appliance and filled with carbon dioxide containing medicinal water of a pleasant temperature. The locally occurring dilation of the vessels is additionally stimulated by the massaging effect of the countercurrent induced water resistance.
